Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-AC-IW Wall-Mounted Wi-Fi 5 Access Point

Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-AC-IW is a compact wall-mounted Wi-Fi 5 access point designed to provide stable wireless connectivity in individual rooms. It operates simultaneously on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands.

It is a practical solution for hotels, offices, apartments, residential buildings and other environments where dedicated Wi-Fi coverage and wired network connections are required.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5

The UAP-AC-IW supports the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard and 2 × 2 MIMO technology on both frequency bands. Maximum data rates reach up to 867 Mbps at 5 GHz and 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz.

Dual-band operation helps distribute connected devices more efficiently and provides stable wireless network performance.

Designed for Individual Rooms

The wall-mounted design makes the UAP-AC-IW particularly suitable for providing dedicated Wi-Fi coverage in individual rooms. Ubiquiti specifies a coverage area of up to 25 m², making it ideal for hotel rooms, offices, apartments and other smaller spaces.

Integrated Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity

The UAP-AC-IW features a total of 3 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports. One is used for the network uplink and power input, while two are available for connecting additional wired network devices.

This allows both wireless and wired connectivity to be provided from a single installation point.

PoE Powered

The access point is powered through the Ethernet cable using PoE, reducing cabling requirements and eliminating the need for a separate power outlet near the device.

PoE output is also supported. PoE+ input is required when using PoE passthrough.

UniFi Network Management

The UAP-AC-IW integrates with the UniFi Network platform, allowing centralised configuration and management alongside other UniFi network devices.

Advanced features include Band Steering, Fast Roaming, Wireless Meshing, guest network isolation, VLAN support, Wi-Fi speed limiting and other network management functions.
