IMOU HR12G – AC1200 Dual-Band WiFi Router with Gigabit Ports and Mesh Networking

IMOU HR12G is an AC1200 dual-band WiFi router designed to provide reliable wireless connectivity for homes, offices and small commercial environments. Featuring 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, four external 5dBi antennas, Gigabit Ethernet ports and smart networking features optimized for IMOU security cameras, it offers a practical solution for everyday internet access and connected devices.

The router supports IMOU Link Mesh networking, automatic pairing with compatible IMOU cameras and Stream Accelerate technology for smoother camera video transmission.

AC1200 Dual-Band WiFi – Fast and Reliable Connectivity

The IMOU HR12G operates on two wireless frequency bands:

• 2.4GHz – up to 300Mbps: Designed for wider wireless coverage and devices that require a reliable connection.

• 5GHz – up to 867Mbps: Ideal for faster data transmission, high-definition streaming and online gaming.

Dual-band connectivity allows devices to be distributed across two frequencies, helping reduce network congestion.

AC1200 refers to the combined theoretical wireless speeds of both bands, not the actual internet speed available to a single device.

Four External Antennas – Improved WiFi Coverage

The router features four external 5dBi antennas, designed to improve wireless coverage throughout a home or office.

This helps maintain a more reliable signal across different rooms and supports connectivity for various smart devices.

Actual coverage depends on building materials, walls, interference and router placement.

IMOU Link Mesh – Seamless Whole-Home WiFi

IMOU Link Mesh technology allows compatible IMOU networking devices to work together as a unified wireless network.

With a single WiFi network name, compatible devices can roam between network points as users move throughout the property.

This is especially useful in larger homes or offices where a single router may not provide sufficient coverage.

Automatic IMOU Camera Pairing – WiFi Auto Sync

Imou Camera Wi-Fi Auto-sync simplifies the connection of compatible IMOU security cameras to the router.

Nearby compatible IMOU cameras and the router can pair automatically, reducing manual setup and making installation more convenient.

This feature is particularly useful when building or expanding an IMOU video surveillance system.

Stream Accelerate – Optimized Camera Video Transmission

Stream Accelerate is designed to optimize video data transmission from IMOU IP cameras.

According to IMOU, camera video traffic uses a dedicated transmission channel to help maintain smoother monitoring performance, even in congested WiFi environments.

This can help reduce interruptions and the risk of cloud recording loss caused by wireless network congestion.

Gigabit WAN and LAN Ports – Fast Wired Connections

The IMOU HR12G includes four Gigabit Ethernet ports:

• 1 × Gigabit WAN port for connecting to the internet.

• 3 × Gigabit LAN ports for computers, televisions, network devices and other wired equipment.

Gigabit ports support theoretical wired data rates of up to 1000Mbps, making them suitable for devices requiring higher network bandwidth.

Connect Up to 64 Devices

The router supports a maximum of 64 connected clients, with 32 devices recommended by the manufacturer.

This allows users to connect smartphones, laptops, smart TVs, IMOU cameras and other smart home devices to the same network.

Remote WiFi Management with Imou Life

The Imou Life mobile application allows users to remotely manage their home WiFi network and connected devices.

Available features include:

• Easy router setup and configuration.

• Connected device management.

• Guest WiFi network creation.

• Parental Control settings.

• WiFi operating schedules.

These functions make it easier to manage network access and settings directly from a smartphone.

IPv6, IPTV and Advanced Networking Features

The IMOU HR12G supports both IPv4 and IPv6, IPTV and various networking functions.

Supported features include PPPoE, Dynamic IP and Static IP WAN connections, QoS, DDNS, DMZ, UPnP, port forwarding and PPTP/L2TP VPN functionality.
